Abstract In 2021, the European Union's (EU) ‘Europe's Beating Cancer Plan’ set goal to achieve a tobacco-free generation in Europe by 2040, which means that less than 5% of people will use tobacco. The EU proposed policies address internationally relevant issues such as tobacco taxation, cross-border purchases, packaging, flavours, and online advertising. However, many control need be adopted implemented at national or local level. It is therefore important exchange research findings insights on policies. this workshop we present results mainly from Netherlands. With 21% smoking prevalence scores 53 out 100 points Tobacco Control Scale, it may considered an average country terms its control. Netherlands has progressed recent years, part due 2018 National Prevention Agreement. This Agreement included same goal. Achieving requires prevention initiation among young people, but also cessation those who already smoke. especially lower socioeconomic groups, these groups higher both adults adolescents.
